Dear Editor,
I would like to draw to the relevant authorities’ attention an ongoing disturbing trend taking place at a taxi service and a vulcanizing shop in Lodge.
It seems the proprietor of the vulcanizing shop, dispatchers and drivers have interpreted freedom of speech to mean they can use as much profanity at the top of their voices on a daily basis and at any hour of the day.
I along with other neighbours have spoken repeatedly to the owner of the taxi service to no avail. These drivers, dispatchers and the owner of the vulcanizing shop could be heard daily using loud indecent language unconcerned about children and neighbours around.
This situation has being ongoing for a long time and most neighbours prefer to remain silent rather than speak out against this abusive behaviour. This unbearable situation has been reported to the police, but the behaviour continues unabated.
We are therefore asking the relevant authorities to take immediate action to remedy this unacceptable and illegal situation.
