Action in the Mayor Hamilton Green a 7 a-side football tournament in honour of Mr. Green’s 75th birth anniversary continues this evening at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground from 6:30pm with eight matches.
The tournament opened last evening at the same venue with several exciting matches.
The scheduled games will see several leading teams on show including Alpha United, Camptown, Riddim Squad and the Brazilians.
The night’s fixtures are: Black Pearl vs Majestic’s, GFC vs the Brazilians, Uprising vs Golden Grove, Santos vs Victoria Kings, Riddim Squad vs Rich Boys, GDF vs Stewartville, Alpha vs Young Achievers and Camptown vs Seawall.
Matches would also be played Monday November 16, 17, 19, 24, 26, December 8 and 12 at the same venue.
The winner in the 32-team 7-a-side tournament collects $300,000 and the Macorp trophy. The second place finisher collects a trophy and $100,000 while third and fourth place receives $60,000 and $40,000, respectively.
