Brazilian footballers entertain Bartica

A fair sized crowd which came out to witness the All-Brazilian football encounter at the Bartica Community Centre on Sunday last, left the ground well satisfied after being treated to a fine exhibition of the finer Arts of football.
A 60th minute Penalty conversion by Diego was the game’s decisive strike that landed the Pure Diamonds contingent the $G1M prize money. After conceding the lead the Operations Dragga side launched an all out attack in search of the equaliser but had to contend with stout defending and excellent goalkeeping.
Both sides were made up of Brazilians living in Guyana and demonstrated why their country is considered the number one football Nation of the World as they produced a match of high quality, rarely seen in Bartica.
In a post game comment, Chief Organiser, I Salam stated that ‘the game was well attended and fans got their money’s worth as the two sides displayed football of the highest quality’
