The commencement of the Christmas season may be a few weeks away, but at Ashmin’s the festive spirit of giving is already alive. While the establishment has for the past 17 years afforded business opportunities to many through wholesale services, on Friday last six (6) customers were tangibly rewarded for choosing to shop retail.
As part of Ashmin’s shop and win this car Christmas promotion, on October 24, the names of Sophia Boyer, Boris Rodney and Notoya Greene were pulled from more than 600 coupons as the first set of winners.
Boyer, of 963 New Tuschen Housing Scheme won a 19-inch colour Television while Rodney, of Number 30 Village, West Coast Berbice, won a blender. Expectant mother Notoya Greene, of South Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, won a campout package for six to spend a weekend at Splashmin’s.
The promotion continued on October 31, and the winners were Rohani Persaud, Kashani Bharat and Rishi Kissoon.
Persaud, of 12F Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, bought household supplies and got a free six-piece pot set, while Bharat, of 24 Canaan Gardens, Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara won an all-inclusive night stay at Splashmin’s in the villa for lovers. Kissoon won a blender. All the winners have also been awarded 2010 Gold membership cards to enter Splashmin’s Fun Park and Resort on any occasion free and enjoy privileged membership discounts.
Last Friday, the lone winner of a free Christmas gift was Shelly Chester, of 322 Craig, East Bank Demerara. She earned a trip for six to Splashmins Fun Park and camping grounds as well as Gold membership card.
Shelliza Allie, the promotion’s marketing manager said this marks just the beginning for the company’s customers with respect to rewards for the festive season. “As Christmas draws closer there are more than 1.5 million dollars worth of prizes to be won simply by shopping what you need retail.” She added that “as long as the bill adds up to $3000 you get a coupon for a chance to win the ultimate prize of a 2.5 million dollar car on January 9”.
