Dr. Steve Surujbally/ Maxie Fox, Krystal Sukra and Seanden David – Longe emerged the first set of winners in the Pegasus Open Lawn Tennis Tournament which is being played, at the Hotel Hard courts.
The pair of Dr. Surujbally and Fox captured the Men’s Over-55 Doubles after defeating Bobby Khan and Roy Rampersaud 6/1, 7/5.
In the junior category, Krystal Sukra clinched the Girls 14 and under category when she trounced Tanya Nimatalli, 6/0, 6/0, while the more experienced Seanden David-Longe made light work of Brian Ramsudh, beating him 6/2, 6/2 to claim the Boys title. Play was expected to continue last evening with more exciting matches.
Among those advancing to the next round of matches are: Clinton and Wayne Alphanso, Rudy Grant, Philip Squires, Ezra Sue-Ho, Aruna Ramrattan, Shauna Gentle, Carol Humphrey, G. Lowden, A. Lopes.
