The Splashmin’s Fun Park Playfield will come alive today when executive members of the East Bank Football Sub Association (EBFSA) launch the Stag Division One Senior Football League 2009/2010, with the opening ceremony starting at 12:30hrs.
President of the EBFSA Wayne Francois would call the proceedings to order followed by the traditional march past. Participants then recite the National Pledge before Mr. Francois deliver short remarks. An executive of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) would then deliver the feature address followed by short remarks from a representative of the sponsors, Ansa McAl Trading.
These activities precede an exciting double header between Grove FC and Timerhi FC followed by the feature attraction, Kuru Kururu against Agricola, with the first match scheduled to get underway at 13:00hrs.
The tournament continues the following weekend, November 8, with another exciting double header and subsequently every weekend thereafter, to its conclusion.
The second fixture for week two sees Soesdyke tackling Mocha while Kuru Kuru takes on Yarrowkabra. The rest of the fixtures are, Kuru Kuru vs. Grove and Timerhi vs. Mocha (November 15).
Agricola vs. Soesdyke and Yarrowkabra vs. Kuru Kururu (November 22). Mocha vs. Kuru Kuru and Timerhi vs. Kuru Kururu (November 29). Yarrowkabra vs. Soesdyke and Timerhi vs. Kuru Kuru (December 6). Grove vs. Soesdyke and Agricola vs. Mocha (December 13).
Yarrowkabra vs. Timerhi and Agricola vs. Kuru Kuru (December 20). Mocha vs. Kuru Kururu and Kuru Kuru vs. Soesdyke (December 27). Yarrowkabra vs. Grove and Kuru Kuru vs. Kuru Kururu (January 3 2010), Soesdyke vs. Kuru Kururu and Agricola vs. Yarrowkabra (January 10), Yarrowkabra vs. Mocha and Agricola vs. Grove (January 17), Mocha vs. Grove and Timerhi vs. Agricola (January 24) and Grove vs. Kuru Kururu and Soesdyke vs. Timerhi (January 31).
