De government did clamp down on excessive spending in all dem Ministry because dem consider it a waste of good resources. And besides, dem people who was lending de country money actually tell de government that dem can’t be giving Guyana money that dem own people wuk so hard only to see Guyanese waste it.
In Trinidad, wheh de government got money like sand because oil selling fuh nuff money, de people checking up pun expenditure. Dem use de Freedom of Information Act and dem find out that dem President spend one million dollars visiting 32 countries. Now one million dollars Trinidad money is $33 million Guyana money because de Trinidad money got more value.
Dem boys feel that de travel shouldn’t have been suh expensive. De plane is Caribbean Airlines that was once BeeWee and dem does give frequent flyer miles. Now if Manning is de boss man in Trinidad and he government own de airline and he pay one million, dem boys want to know how much a man who doing de same travel woulda spend.

Dem same boys remember a joke bout a lizard who lef a monkey and go to a lake and drink water. He tek li’l lang and before he come back dem boys see an alligator. De monkey think is de lizard and ask he is how much water he really drink.
