Trophy Stall Masters XI won by a handsome margin of 60 runs to storm in the second semi–final against Industry Super Kings last Sunday at the Enmore Ground.
Trophy Stall won the toss and batted and justified their decision by rattling up a mammoth 191 for seven wickets off their allotted 25 overs.
This huge total was due to some scintillating batsmanship by firstly Danny Mohanram who made 68 which was studded with five sixes and secondly by Dennis Mangru, who clobbered 41 not out off just 21 balls.
Mangru’s innings was studded with five sixes and two fours and took its toll on the weary Industry Super Kings’ bowlers.
Most of the bowlers went for over seven an over and the best figures was that of Lloyd Squires who took three wickets for forty five runs off his five overs.
When Industry Super Kings started their innings they lost their first wicket with only 5 runs on the board and only a fourth wicket partnership of 50 between David Harper who made 56 and Ishwar Singh (20) saved Industry Super King some blushes and they finally ended on 131 all out in 21 overs.
Colin Greaves who was almost unplayable took 5-24 from his 5 overs and he was well supported by Ryan Singh 2-28 from 4 overs.
