Giftland OfficeMax Accountant, Teresa Narine (right) hands over one of the All-Star Championship trophies to Beepat Scorpions
Balls, trophies handed over
Giftland OfficeMax yesterday presented a large quantity of basketball balls and trophies to the Beepat Scorpions Basketball Club as the club fine tunes preparation for the seventh annual All-Star Basketball Weekend Extravaganza.
The weekend of fun and flair in the sport is scheduled for November 7-8 and will include many exciting events such as three-point shout-outs, dunk-outs, crowd events and notable All-Star games between Linden and Georgetown.
“Giftland is proud of being able to give this sponsorship. We hope it is beneficial to you guys. The players will be able to get a reward, which can only encourage them to do better,” Accountant, Teresa Narine said yesterday.
In response, Beepat Scorpions’ Vice-President, Warren Williams thanked Gifltand for their continued support of what he called the “basketball staff party of the year”.
He said that he was especially grateful to Giftland’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Ramdeo for his role in brokering the sponsorship deal for the event.
