Rating his performance at Bushy Park in Barbados as credible, local 2B driver Gavin Gouveia speaking with Kaieteur Sport said that he expects to do well at the November 8, judging from how the car has been performing.
Guyanese Gavin Gouveia leads veteran Barbadian Freddy Mapp during one of the races at Bushy Park last August.
Gouveia, who drives a Toyota Starlet, stated that even though a few Barbadians are coming to compete, his main threat could be old nemesis Ryan Rahaman in his Ford Escort.
The local racer said that since his return he has had to little if any work on his car and according to him it is in good shape and just as quick so fans could expect some good results.
“My car is usually reliable except for the last Meeting where I was forced out of competition due to some electrical problems, but all that has been fixed and my supporters could look forward to a very combative display,” Gouveia said.
Gouveia was always in contention at the Barbados Meet until one of the cars knocked him off the track as the two battled for supremacy.
He extended thanks to the following sponsors for their continued support Banks DIH, Ice Palace Igloo, Clear Water and Gems Diamonds.
