The small gathering that witnessed the sessions was also treated to demonstrations of basic moves that utilized combinations of blocking, kicking and punching.
The final demonstration was a three step sparring session where the karatekas engaged in sparring sessions with knives as well as bare fist combat.
Commenting on the exercise moments after the final kata display, Norville said that he was indeed pleased with the application demonstrated by the students.
He explained that the participants derive spiritual benefits from the sport even as he/she learns the art of self defence.
