Dear Editor,
On the 1st October the Hindu community had an historic event which commemorates the opening of the newly renovated Radha Krishna Mandir on Camp Street.
The ceremony was officiated by Pt. Bhognarine Sharma of Toronto, Canada. The members of the temple were delighted to have the presence of lots of esteem individuals from Guyana and other countries such as Pt Natarajan of India.
However, they were all greeted with the absence of our Head of State.
We know that he is a busy person, but couldn’t Mr. Jagdeo just take five minutes of his busy schedule to grace this occasion.
Even if he couldn’t make it the first session, there were three other sessions of the Yagna.
We would like to thank Mr. Jagdeo for this nonattendance to this one in a lifetime experience.
Concerned Hindu
