A woman who was not required to plead was remanded to prison for attempted murder.
Kim Ifill, 48, of 17 Patentia Housing Scheme, was refused bail by Magistrate Nigel Hawk on the indictable charge of attempted murder.
It is alleged that on October 20, last, at Robb Street, Georgetown, Ifill attempted to murder Adrian Braithwaite.
The accused was represented by attorney at law Patrice Henry, who in an application for bail, told the court that his client is a mother of four, two of them being minors.
Henry went on to state that it is an unfortunate matter. “The VC previously entered the home of my client and maliciously damaged property,” Henry said.
“On the day in question Braithwaite attacked my client and a fight broke. Braithwaite sustained several injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and sent home”.
The police prosecution’s only remark in the matter was that bail be refused and the magistrate complied.
Ifill is expected to return to court on October 26
