Police defeated Danielstown by 8 wickets as play in the Sharief and Shaira Khan Memorial twenty/20 cricket competition continued last Sunday in North Essequibo.
At Lima, Danielstown batted first and scored 84-7 after the game was reduced to 10 overs due to overnight rain. Elvis Prince top scored with 30 while Joseph Jack contributed 28 as Gregory Smith captured 3-15.
Police in reply made 85-2 in 9.2 overs. Lloyd Chattergoon led with 34 and Bruce Johnson assisted with 32 not out.
Meanwhile, the other matches between Gunners and Walton Hall, Richmond and Sparta and Young Achievers and Hampton Court were completely washed out.
The competition continues tomorrow.
