Finance division made light work of their Berbice counterparts trashing them by 10 wickets when play in the GT&T inter division 20 overs softball cricket competition continued recently in Berbice at the Young Warriors cricket ground in East Canje.
Finance destroyed their host by 10 wickets in a one side affair in the first game of their best of three final.
Berbice took first strike and found the going tough as they were shot out for a meager 59 in 17 overs, with Sean Bess the only batsman to pass double figures with 12.
Bowling for finance Royston Rajpaul was the chief destroyer with four wickets, while Sachin Persaud, Colin Richards and Karamchand Rambarran supported well with two wickets apiece.
In their turn at the wicket, Finance galloped to 61 without loss in a mere 5 overs with their opening pair of Richard Sukhdeo (33) and Colin Richards (28) making merriment on the hapless bowling.
Richards was later named man- of- the- match. The next game is slated to be played in Georgetown on a date to be announced later in the month.
