Berbice Educational Institute (BEI) and All Saints Primary school came out victors when the New Amsterdam Canje District (15) of the Guyana Teachers Union/ Ministry Of Education inter-school athletics competition was held recently at the Esplanade and Rose Hall Community Centre grounds respectively.
In the Primary school competition that was held at the Esplanade ground in New Amsterdam, All Saints Primary came out on top of the eight schools competition.
Results show All Saints primary on 343 points followed by St Therese Primary on 311, St Aloysius Primary 300, Edinburgh Primary 206, Overwinning Primary 155, Friends Primary 92, Locaber /Sandvort primaries combined on 84 and New Amsterdam Primary bringing up the rear on 44.
In the Secondary school competition BEI with 881 points won easily from New Amsterdam Multilateral 839, Tutorial Academy 835, Berbice High School 793, Vrymans Erven Secondary 576, School of The Nation 281, New Amsterdam Technical Institute 190, Canje Secondary 144, Trinity Street Annex on 100 and bringing up the read was Overwinning secondary with 64.
