Gavin Todd continued his remarkable form this season when he carted off the Sanjay Jewellery Medal Play Golf tournament played on Diwali holiday on Saturday at Lusignan Golf Club.
Todd recorded a net 62 from a gross 82 playing off a 20 handicap in another major win this season.
Mark Lashley secured the second position on a count back after he and Kassim Khan both ended on net scores of 67. Lashley playing off a 27 handicap had a gross 94, while Khan (8 handicap) recorded a gross 75.
Reigning national men’s champion Imran Khan recorded 74 to capture the Best Gross prize, while Mohanlall Dinanauth claimed the prize for Nearest to the Pin.
Sanjay Persaud assisted by his son presented the prizes to the top players in the tournament. The local jeweler also sponsored a tournament last month.
Officials of the Lusignan Golf Club thanked Persaud for his support for the Club and his interest in golf locally.
