Queenstown and No. 1 Affiance are to clash in what is expected to be an exiting final of the Headly Block Making, Talesh Furniture Store and Jai Trucking Service 20/20 cricket competition at the Affiance No. 1 ground in Central Essequibo.
In the semi-finals played recently, Queenstown beat Imam Bacchus XI by 63 runs while Affiance No. 1 defeated Anna Regina Multilateral Teachers by 107 runs.
At Queenstown the home team batted first and made 145-9 in 20 overs. Celwin Fraser topscored with 45, while Herrell Green supported with 41 and Norman Federicks 22. De Andrea George took 3-27 and Kholraj Persaud 2-25 for Imam Bacchus X1 who were bowled out for 82 in 15 overs.
Navindra Persaud made 24 while Fraser and Randy Brijmohan grabbed two wickets each for the winners.
And at Affiance No.1 ground, the host took first strike and piled up 215-8 in 20 overs. Patrick Rooplall slammed 82 and Ganesh Mangal 35 while Mervin Pearson took 2-30.
Anna Regina Multilateral teachers in reply were skittled for 108 in 15 overs. (Zaheer Mohamed)
