Twenty six karatekas recently benefited immensely from a national camp held at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), under the auspices of the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF).
The two days activity which was conducted by Sensei Amir Khouri (5th Dan) commenced on Saturday October 10 and concluded two days later. Khouri was ably assisted by Natalie Gibson, Althea King, Maria Wilkinson and Mark Phang.
The participants were exposed to two days of intense training with emphasis placed on physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the sport. Participants also received expert tutoring in the intricacies of first aid as well as healthy lifestyle practices. They were also exposed to techniques that inspire peace through the inculcation of a perfect character.
