The Rose Hall Town Bakewell pair of Jason Sinclair and Dominique Rickie hit tons as the inaugural Association Construction Service Under-23, 50-Over Knockout Cricket Competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board for the First Division Clubs in the Ancient County commenced over the weekend.
Sinclair slammed 108 (13 fours and 2 sixes) and former Guyana Under-15 batsman Rickie 100 not out, to help their team to a massive 341-3 in 50 overs against Upper Corentyne.
Rickie put on 72 for the first wicket with Trevor Thomas (20), and then after he retired and returned to bat, put together 80 for the 3rd wicket with Eon Hooper (20*).
Rose Hall Town off-spinner Troy Mathieson picked up 6-16 from 5.3 overs as Upper Corentyne slumped to a 135-run defeat despite a fine 51 from Trishan Narinedat.
Also scoring half centuries were Vedesh Singh of Rose Hall Community Centre and Wahied Edwards of Young Warriors.

Rose Hall Community Centre, winning the toss and batting first, 178 in 31.2 overs with Vedesh Singh 50, Vishal Mohabir 32, Udesh Imrit 28, Ameer Budhoo 4 for 17 from 3.2 overs, Farouk Hussain 2 for 21 from 6 overs, Devendra Ramoutar 2 for 40 from 8 overs. Young Warriors 179 for 3 in 23.1 overs with Wahied Edwards 58, Farouk Hussain 42, Daryl Narine 33.
At Port Mourant, Port Mourant beat Skeldon Community Centre by 7 wickets. Skeldon Community Centre losing the toss and sent in to bat first, 80 in 20 overs with Bisham Deolall 4 for 9 from 6 overs, George Hughes 4 for 44 from 7 overs. Port Mourant 81 for 3 in 11 overs with Devendra Thakurdeen 47.
At Scottsburg, Edinburgh beat Scottsburg United by 31 runs, Edinburgh winning the toss and batting first 109 in 25 overs with Yudrunauth Seepersaud 18, Mark Lionel 3 for 17 in 9 overs, Akram Razack 3 for 30 from 6 overs, Nyeem Yacoob 2 for 9 from 4 overs. Scottsburg United 78 in 27 overs with Anthony Bramble 14, Yudrunauth Seepersaud 4 for 15 from 6 overs, Raid Ali 3 for 20 from 6 overs.
At Edinburgh, Bermine beat West Berbice by 8 wickets. West Berbice, losing the toss and sent in to bat first 117 in 25 overs with Andrew Dennis 21, Arthley Bailey 17, Andrew Williams 3 for 28 from 7.1 overs, Terrence De Cunha 3 for 39 from 5 overs and Joemal La Fleur 3 for 2 from 2 overs.
