Mrs. Mohinie Ramlakhan , headmistress of the Anna Regina Secondary School , is still shaken a day after her Bush Lot home was broken into by unknown bandits who carted off all of her jewellery and an undisclosed sum of cash .
Mrs. Ramlakhan said that both she and her husband had attended the annual Diwali motorcade celebration at the Anna Regina Community Centre ground the previous night.
She said that she subsequently returned to their home and upon entering their yard Mrs. Ramlakhan said she was greeted by two strange footprints that trailed along her back step leading into her house.
She said as she continued up the back steps she noticed her door broken. A claw- bar was also seen on the back steps. Mrs. Ramlakhan said that she immediately discontinued her decision to go any further, headed back downstairs and she subsequently alerted her next neighbour, then summoned the police.
According to Mrs. Ramlakhan, when the detectives arrived they scoured the house but didn’t take any fingerprints. No one has been arrested.
