Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited, yesterday hosted a presentation ceremony in honour of the top achievers for the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate (CSEC) and for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (Cape).
The top achiever of the NGSA was Larissa Wiltshire who attended Mae’s Academy. Excelling at the CSEC was Kia Persaud and Wainella Isaacs at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination. Both students are of Queens College.
It was noted that it is part of the bank’s tradition to extend monetary gifts and plaques to top achievers of the Exams mentioned above.
Republic Bank general manager, John Alves, stated that the bank has embraced an overarching vision of youth empowerment through the power to learn and succeed.
He added, “We of Republic Bank have recognised the value of education and the importance of the development of our nation’s youths and therefore, we are pleased to honour outstanding academic performance”.
Singling out the top performers at this year’s National Examinations, he extended warmest congratulations for their excellent achievements and foretold them that the great journey has only just begun as they seek higher levels of learning.
