The Ministry of Education and Guyana Cricket Board Inter Secondary Schools under-15 cricket competition continued recently with several matches in various zones.
South GT Branch
Tucville Secondary beat David Rose CHS by 4 wickets at GYO Ground
David Rose CHS batted first and made 83 all out from 16.2 overs:
Dason Jupiter top scored with 17. Bowling for Tucville Secondary Akash Gaj had 3-21 while Jean Floris & Anthony Success captured 2 wickets each.
Tucville Secondary in reply reached the required runs in 12 overs while losing 6 wickets in the process. Anthony Success made 26 and Raphael Edwards 14.
Bowling for David Rose CHS Akeem Williams, Quinsy Gordon and Taahir Surijpaul took 2 wickets each.
East Ruimveldt Secondary beat Lodge CHS by 58 runs at GNIC Ground.
East Ruimveldt Secondary took first strike and made 123 all out from 17.2 overs: Mark Sergeant hit 37 and Andrew Gibson 19.
Bowling for Lodge CHS, Cordel Mars grabbed 3-29, Glensroy Munroe 3-15 and Kevin Lord 2-14.
Lodge CHS in reply was bowled out for a meager 65 from 9.5 overs: Devon Lord offered token resistance with 15. Bowling for East Ruimveldt Secondary; Wayne Yansen 3-17, Shemar Gibson 3-20, Andrew Marks and Mark Sergeant 2 wickets each.
Central High lost to Dolphin Secondary by 151 runs at Malteenoes.
Dolphin Secondary took first strike and made 215 all out from 34.1 overs: Brandon Gouveia 31, Deonarine Seegobin 29, Randelly Dazell 28, Keemo Vanderhyden 23. Bowling for Central High School Shawn Garnette & Hanisi Chandler took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Central High School was bowled out for 64 in just 11 overs: Samuel Fraser made 17 and was the only batsman to reach double figures. Romain Nepaul picked up 3-18 and Deonarine Seegobin 2- 4.
North GT Branch
St. Mary’s High whipped Brickdam Secondary by 55 runs at DCC.
St. Mary’s School took first strike and made 121 all out from 32.3 overs: Dexter George made 44.Bowling for Brickdam Secondary Rayan London captured 5-33 from 8 overs while Mark Jackman supported with 4-19 from 5.3 overs.
Brickdam Secondary in reply were bowled out for 66 in 24.3 overs with Miguel Persaud putting up some resistance with 25.
Bowling for St. Mary’s High Steven Sankar had 3-21, Stephen Fredericks 3-1 and Nigel Norville 2-13.
