Dear Editor,
The Environmental Community Health Organisation (ECHO) must be commended for its initiative on social responsibility and climate change in the private sector.
It is very important that business owners understand and that they have a big role to play in fighting climate change because they are also contributing to it in a great way.
Businesses can do simple things like keeping areas in which they operate clear and tidy, helping community projects aimed at preserving the environment, including messages on the environment in their advertisements and on their wrappers used to package their products.
These things can go a fare way in helping to protect the environment.
Maybe, some businesses could look at opening a recycling plant to help with the large quality of plastic around these days.
