When competition in the Banks DIH Coca Cola sponsored senior division-one league organised by the Berbice Football Association (BFA) continues this weekend, three matches will be played at two venues.
The Scottsburg Community ground at Corriverton on the Upper Corentyne will host a double header.
The curtain raiser at 14:00hrs will see Pistons United facing Barzilla FC with the main event two hours later featuring defending champions and League leaders New Amsterdam United (NAU) against Scottsburg United.
Over at the Mahaicony CDC ground, the lone fixture from 16:00hrs brings together the home team Mahaicony and Strike Force.
Meanwhile, in latest play at the #5 Playfield, former champs Monedderlust blasted the hapless Strike Force 13-0, the match being reduced to 70 minutes due to fading light.
Seon Watts opened the scoring in the 10th minute followed by Alwin McDonald who then tucked in two of his four goals in the 18th and 23rd. Henry Watts made it 4-0 at half time with his first of four in the 32nd minute.
Upon resumption Henry Watts scored in the 36th, Alwin McDonald completed his hat trick with efforts in the 40th and 48th.
Henry Watts netted again in the 45th and 53rd minute. Kenson Lindey completed the thumping with goals in the 44th, 55th, 63rd (penalty) and 67th.
Real Union was awarded a walk over when Scottsburg United belatedly indicated that they could not fulfill a 2:00pm fixture for last Saturday.
Points standing for the top three clubs to date, Real Union have completed their full quota of matches.
NAU’s Adrain Adams is the leading goal scorer with 15 from 8 games.
