The Queens College Annual Lower and Upper School Boys and Girls Singles Badminton Tournament started on Monday afternoon at the Queens College Badminton Courts and several outstanding performances were recorded on the opening day.
In the Lower School Boys Singles division, Christopher Shewjattan defeated Rejean Sawh: 21-6, 21-2, Troxiey Cutting beat Dante Wilson: 24-22, 9-21, 5-21, Alexander Paul whipped Fabian Bianchini: 22-20, 21-5 and Dennis Nelson got the better of Lawrence Faria: 21-10, 21-1
In the Lower School Girls Singles competition, Greer Jackson got past Tera Jaipaul: 21-18, 16-21, 16-21 and Angelica Holder defeated Sajeedah Khan: 21-9, 21-18
In the Upper School Boys Singles matches,
Easa Sanichara beat Saevion David-Longe 21-7, 21-14, Stephan Greaves defeated Akil Lewis: 21-6, 25-23 and Nicholas Ali prevailed over Dwayne Edward: 21-6, 21-14
The tournament continues today from 15:30hrs.
