Jermaine Wishart, of 21 ‘E’ Field Sophia, appeared in court yesterday charged with unlawfully assaulting Ivor Welcome on Sunday last while tending to his cows.
According to Wishart in his plea of innocence, said, “I was looking for my cows and this boy say you cow come and jump my cow and then the problem started. I don’t trouble anybody. I does work to take care of my mother.”
The plaintiff did not appear in court so the Magistrate granted Wishart self bail. Upon hearing this, Wishart rushed out of the court but was stopped by a police officer because of pending charges relating to bestiality.
That case is pending so Wishart remains in police custody.
