Blazers, Bayroc register wins
Blazers and Bayroc were the latest teams to register wins in the East Bank Cricket Association twenty20 Competition which is being organised by the Upper Demerara Cricket Association and played over the weekend.
In results of matches played at the Bayroc Community Centre ground:
Blazers defeated Bosai by 60 runs. Blazers sent in to bat made143 with Neibert Waddle 42 and Kenon Sullivan 39, being the principal scorers.
Wayne Bethune took 2-20, Wilbert Bethune had 2- 33 and Rollingston Slowe 2-38.
Bosai in reply were dismissed for 83 off overs 15.5. Slowe hit 22 and Patrice Ricket 20.
Bowling for Blazers Jarret Bouyea grabbed 3-1.
Bayroc then beat Coomacka Mines by 49 runs. Invited to take first strike, Bayroc made 150 all out.
Daniel Andrews 39, Deion Wills 29, Andy Fiedtkou 5-37, Andrew Richmond 4-15. Coomacka in their turn at the crease were dispatched for101 in17.2overs.
Deon Wills captured 4 wickets and Eon Reynolds 3.
The game between Bayroc and Bayroc Blazers ended when bad light stopped play.
Bayroc won toss and batted and reached 175-5 off the allotted overs. Keshan Persaud 44, Leonard Caleb 24.
Leon Moseley picked up 2-23 bowling for Blazers. Blazers in reply were 20-2 off 4 overs when bad light stopped play.
