12-wicket haul for Khemraj Chandradat
Achievers Cricket Club of lovely Lass, West Berbice, became the first team to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2009 Leslie Amsterdam Memorial Under-17 Club cricket competition when they defeated Rainbow Generation by an innings to end their Zone A preliminary rounds with an unassailable 30 points to win that zone.
In that match, after Rainbow Generation had done well to restrict Achievers to 125 in their first innings, Achievers bowlers struck back with offspinner Rajiv Kishun taking 4 for 13, pacer Cloid Marks 3 for 12 and left arm spinner Renalto Grovesnor 2 for 8, Rainbow Generation were bowled out for 45 in their first innings.
Following on, they were bowled out for 57 in their 2nd innings with Grovesnor taking 7 for 21 this time to end with match bowling figures of 9 for 29.
Offspinner Devendra Chandradat took 6 for 18 and 6 for 15 to end with match bowling figures of 12 for 33 to help his team defeat No. 68 by 8 runs.

Rainbow Generation 1st innings 45 with Rajiv Kishun 4 for 13, Cloid Marks 3 for 12, Renalto Grovesnor 2 for 8 and 2nd innings 57 with Renalto Grovesnor 7 for 21.
At Crabwood Creek, Crabwood Creek beat No. 68 by 8 runs. Crabwood Creek 1st innings 113 with Viendra Gooniah 3 for 16, Anthony Durjodhan 2 for 22 and 2nd innings 51 with Dolaram Persaud 6 for 14, Anthony Durjodhan 2 for 22. No. 68 1st innings 80 with Dolaram Persaud 24, Devendra Chandradat 6 for 18, and 2nd innings 76 with Devendra Chandradat 6 for 15.
At Rose Hall in Canje, Young Warriors took first innings point from Rose Hall Community Centre in their drawn match. Rose Hall Community Centre 1st innings 103 with Kevin Ramdeen 25, Jamal Parris 4 for 18, Orlando Tanner 2 for 30. Young Warriors 1st innings 153 with Totaram Sooknanan 36, Quesi Kendall 28, Linden Austin 24, Kevin Ramdeen 6 for 62, Udesh Imrit 4 for 58.
