Dear Editor,
It is a pleasure to see some work is being done during the dry season to fix the Kwakwani-Linden Road.
At least those of us who traverse this stretch of road would be a bit relieved that our journey will not take that long.
But those of us who came from the days when radio was heard in Kwakwani, pass and see the quality of work being done, conclude that we must strive for, “Good Better Best, Never Let Them Rest, Until They Make Good Better and Better Best”
With this dry season, only a discerning eye will be able to see that the road is still very low and the entire journey will be a big pool in the rainy season. There are few places for the water to run off.
The residents of the Sub-Region of Region 10 endure one of or the most tortuous roads in Guyana; it is time that we are given something that will last a little while. It makes no sense trying to fix the entire road if the money is small because the same thing will have to be done all over again.
So we beg of those that are responsible for the work that is now taking place on the Kwakwani-Linden Road, if you think that this road is worth doing.
Remember this, “Anything that is worth doing, is worth doing well.
