A 51-year-old man who allegedly indecently exposed himself in the vicinity of the Georgetown Ferry Stelling, Stabroek, appeared yesterday before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer the related charges.
It is alleged that on September 21, last, Terry Boohan, of 98 Good Hope Housing Scheme who was under the influence of alcohol displayed “immoral behaviour in front of a bond belonging to Wooed Phillips.”
Reports stated that the defendant took off all his clothes and when asked by Phillips to put his clothes back on he refused.
Phillips reported the matter of the nuisance to the Brickdam Police Station. The police arrived and arrested the defendant who was allegedly still nude at the time.
Boohan told the court that he was changing his clothes. The magistrate nevertheless, imposed a fine of $7,500 with an alternative of one month imprisonment.
