Fifteen-year Cynthya Latchman, of Lot B Best Bowenville, Vreed-en-Hoop West Coast Demerara, who was injured by her boyfriend on Sunday, was up to press time in the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) in critical condition.
During her one-year relationship with the accused, which ended four months now, since her father found out, she was verbally and physically abused by her boyfriend, who according to Cynthya , stabbed her in the region of the abdomen several times, then walked away.
Her sister, Andrea Latchman, told Kaieteur News that she had made a report to the police once more today, and was told that at visiting time the police will be present at the hospital to take a statement from Cynthya.
Andrea further stated that she wanted the boy who injured her sister to face the full penalty of the law, and she prays that her sister gets better soon.
The suspect is still at large.
