Twenty (20) Over-40 players have been shortlisted to challenge their visiting Trinidad, Point Fortin Civic Centre Old Boys counterparts.
The local team will be led by Terrence Archer. Earl O’Neal is coach with Manager Michael Pierre.
The squad will play a warm-up game against a Santos Masters selection today at the GFC ground. This will be the squad’s second and last warm-up game before playing the visiting team having lost 3-1 against the younger and much faster Over 35s last Thursday.
The squad is as follows: Andrew Bright, Joylon Lewis, Wayne Peters, Aubrey Adams, Gavin Gibbons, Mark Williams, Ronald Barker, Sham Johnny, Mark Cox, Gordon Brathwaite, Shawn Nedd, Terrence Plummer, Garfield Shepherd, Clive Perry, Stanford Miller, Nicky Thompson, Terrence Archer, Hector Forte, Dallas Sharples and Lloyd Smith. The Guyana squad will play their first game against the visiting Point Fortin Civic Center Old Boys on Thursday and the second game on Saturday September. Both games will be played at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda starting at 7:00pm.
