Ramchand Ragbeer hands over the $60,000 cash donation to President of DCC Alfred Mentore on behalf of Floodlights
As part of Amerindian Heritage Month activities, three teams will be involved in 25 overs softball cricket matches today at Orealla.
The first match pits Floodlights XI against Vishnu Super Store and the winner will play Orealla in the final. The opening encounter starts at 10:00am.
These matches have been arranged by the Corentyne River Tours (CORTOURS) and the trophies are sponsored by 4R of 18 Duncan Street, C/Ville, Georgetown.
Last weekend the Floodlights team played at DCC in Georgetown and following the contest made a $60,000 cash donation to the club.
