The final between Terence Bar and White Castle is expected to be an exciting match up next Tuesday at the National gymnasium when the pair collides in the Korner Kick Inter Pub Futsal tournament.
White Castle is expected to bring their best since Terence Bar with leading goal scorer Vibert Weekes, accepts no nonsense. Weekes, who seems to be in top shape, strikes at first opportunity, and continues to be at the top of his game. His double on Thursday evening propelled him to 12 goals.
In the first semi-final match up Thursday at the national gymnasium, Terence Bar took on Plaisance. Plaisance who seemed to have had totally control of the game with their first opportunity converted by R. Collins, were however beaten.
Linden Greene of Terence Bar completed his first opportunity to score the equalizer, putting his team back in the game. Vibert Weekes who felt left out, with several attempts finally converted with a shot from way out side putting Terence Bar in the driving seat. With the score two goals to one, Terence Greene of Terence Bar scored a simple goal to give his team a two goal lead.
Vibert Weekes who seem to not want to give the brothers Terrence and Linden the chance in the spotlight, came back with another attempt which was successful.
With the score four to one Travis Gilbert of Plaisance continued the fight with a shot taken from almost the half way line, scored to alert the players it wasn’t over.
However, the final whistle was blown to end the game with a final score four goals to one in Terence Bar’s favor.
Meanwhile, the second semi-final game was a riveting battle between White Castle and De Hut Bar. Devon Accra of White Castle within minutes dribbled two defenders to take a shot which shook the net. With the score one goal to nil, Omali Nassy followed in Accra’s step. Michael Oie of De Hut Bar with great skill shook the net with a shot to beat goalkeeper Jomo Belfield of White Castle.
Belfield turned in a fantastic keeping display despite being bombarded with shots taken by De Hut Bar’s Players. With the score two goals to one at the start of the second half, De Hut’s terror on Belfield continued, he however kept in control to reject any attempts made throughout the remainder of the game.
Kwame Pedro and Michael Oie of De Hut Bar were both issued yellow cards for fouls committed in the second half.
The game was however finished in White castle favor two goals to one.
