Just one week after staging the National Novices championships, the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) will be in action once again, this time senior players would compete for the Insurance Brokers Lien trophy in the pavilion of the famous GCC ground Bourda, tomorrow morning, starting at 10:00hrs.
The battle for supremacy would continue between national champion, Abigail McDonald and Fred Collins. James Krakowsky would also want to feel that he stands a very good chance of carting off the honours while on the distaff side Grace Hercules would be traveling all the way from Linden to compete.
She has recently shown remarkable improvement and ended up in second place to Moen Gafoor in the just concluded GASP Open championships.
Add other up and coming players like Maurice Munroe who has improved remarkably, Devon Dublin, Yvonne Murray and Ruby Collins and it’s a toss up as to who would cart off the honours.
The tournament gets underway at 10:00hrs sharp and players are asked to be at the venue by 09:30hrs for registration.
