Dear Editor,
It is not always the easiest thing in the world to pick out intelligible meanings out of the ramblings and meanderings of a letter by Eric Phillips.
It seems that when he starts, he doesn’t know where he is going and when he finishes, he doesn’t know where he has been.
Phillips seems to have a reluctance to deal with present realities and instead indulges in airy-fairy speculations of an over-active imagination.
However, he carefully avoids dealing with the criminal and undemocratic record of the record of the PNC administration and has ignored the several key assertions, which are historically verified and verifiable, which I made, and I can understand this, because the truth hurts.
I need to remind him and others that it was necessary for US Presidents to issue executive orders each year to facilitate financial and other assistance coming to Guyana under the PNC regime because of their fraudulent electoral practices and human rights record where people were murdered with impunity through state death squads. His slip is showing badly and he resorts to divine assistance referring to Ecclesiastes 3: 1 – there is a time for everything.
I have never indulged in any correspondence denying the existence of God as Eric claims. This just goes to show how he is scrambling to find something – anything – nasty to say about people, however untrue. Besides indulging in his racism about Africans, Amerindians and Indians, he is now attacking people on their religious beliefs. Just how low can he get?
