Dear Editor,
I am thoroughly disgusted and upset at what appears to me to be a blatant disregard of laws in this Garden City of ours.
Everyday I have to travel along Croal Street from Vlissengen Road to King Street and as a result as I approach Camp Street, I cannot avoid seeing how the parapet opposite a certain shop which caters for miners is occupied with trucks and all kinds of equipment. As far as I am concerned what is happening is in clear contravention of the Municipal and Environmental Laws.
In situations less glaring, action has been taken. I am beginning to wonder if there are different rules for different people or whether there is only one rule.
Will someone please explain what is happening here?
