Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) is the sponsor for today’s Medal Play Golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course on the East Coast of Demerara.
Secretary of the Lusignan Golf Club Ronald Bulkan disclosed that over 30 golfers will be vying for top honours in the tournament as the players always look forward to competing in the annual GBTI competition. He said that players are also fine tuning their preparation for the Guyana Open billed to take place in November.
The Course is in excellent condition so the scores should be exceptional, said Bulkan.
Among the players listed to compete are Carlos Adams, winner of last weekend’s tournament, Patrick Prashad, Jerome Khan, Christine Sukhram, Monnaf Arjune, Maurice Solomon, Ian Gouveia, Alfred Mentore, Gavin Todd, Dr. Ram Singh, Mark Lashley, Colin Ming, Mel Sankies, Imran Khan, Mike Mangal, Mike Guyadin, Brian Hackett, William Walker and Melissa Humphrey.
A representative of GBTI is expected to attend and assist in the presentation of prizes.
Tee off is at 13:00 hours.
