FIFA Referee Roy McArthur has announced his retirement from officiating in International matches.
McArthur, who has been on the FIFA Panel since 2002 said he will continue to carry the whistle in local matches and will be taking up the challenge to become an instructor and mentor where he would be able to pass on his knowledge to the younger officials.
Mc Arthur has already begun his quest in the realms of being an instructor; he recently participated in a course held in Jamaica along with Lawrence ‘Sparrow’ Griffith.
The President, Executive and members of the Guyana Football Referees Council has extended their gratitude Mc Arthur for his sterling contributions to game and being an excellent ambassador for Guyana over the years.
