Gang-raped girl, 14, rescued from West Ruimveldt house

Police yesterday rescued a 14-year-old girl from a house in West Ruimveldt where she was reportedly subjected to a brutal gang rape by a group of males.
A medical examination of the teen confirmed that she was sexually assaulted during a 16-hour ordeal.
According to reports, the girl who hails from Kuru Kuru on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway met one of her abusers on the Kitty Seawall, where they struck up a friendly conversation.
She claimed that she was offered a ‘drink’ and the next thing she knew, she awoke in strange surroundings many hours later.
Police were alerted to the teenager’s plight after they received a call, informing them that a naked girl was seen in a West Ruimveldt house which was occupied by several males.
When police swooped down on the house, several males were seen fleeing the property.
They eventually entered the house and found the naked teen with two males, ages 14 and 29 years old.
The two males were arrested while the teenaged girl was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
Police are expected to round up the other males who had managed to make good their escape.
