GMFA names 38-man squad to commence training
The Interim Management Committee of the Guyana Masters Football Association (GMFA) will later this month be hosting their counterparts from Trinidad and Tobago in a two-game goodwill series scheduled for the GFC ground on Thursday September 24 and Saturday 26. In an effort to ensure that the local team is properly prepared, the GMFA has named a 38-man squad to commence preparations tomorrow at the GFC ground from 13:30hrs. This final make up of the squad will be 22 players. Players called are: Goalkeepers; Andrew Hazel, Andrew Bright, Shawn Jacobs and Philip Carrington.
Defenders; Wayne Peters, Ronald Barker, Brian Thompson, Mark Cox, Gavin Gibbons, Aubrey Adams, Vane Haley, Shem Johnny, Mark Williams, Ewart Grenville, Joylon Lewis and Julian James.
Midfielders; Nicky Thompson, Gordon Brathwaite, Shawn Fraser- Nedd, Frank Parris, Kevin Walcott, Terrence Plummer, Sam Jones, Linden Rawlins, Peter Lashley, Clive Perry, Stanford Miller and Garfield Shepherd.
Forwards; Terrence Archer, Hector Forte, Lloyd Smith, Adrian Forde, Shawn Daniels, Joseph Wilson, K. Leander, Dallas Sharples, Edison Carroll and Nigel Wiltshire. Players are asked to walk with a pair of white training shirt.
