Sixty-three year old Dhaniram of 25 New Road Vreed-en-Hoop was yesterday found dead in a clump of overgrown grass, hours after his usual early morning drinking spree.
According to reports, Dhaniram, a security guard, was usually seen drinking at all hours of the day.
“Nuff rum; tea, breakfast, dinner…….duh is he hobby,” a resident of the area told this newspaper.
Dhaniram’s lifeless body was found along a short trail just off Best Road by passers by, who hurriedly informed his son.
Surendra Dhaniram, one of the sons of the dead man told reporters that his father would normally froth at the mouth, because of the manner in which he consumed the alcohol. “Because he does drink dis rum jus suh……man don drink with water and drink an suh……he does screw off the cork and he gon deh drinkin up jus suh…all de time.”
The son of the dead man added that he suspects his father was on his way home when he collapsed.
Dhaniram was last seen by a friend at around 13:00 hrs yesterday.
Despite his alcoholic nature, he was described as a nice person.
“He does cuss we when he drunk but we know he in mean nuttin by it”
Dhaniram leaves to mourn his two sons, one of whom is abroad and his wife, who also resides overseas.
