Starts tomorrow at CASH
The Unit of Allied Arts in collaboration with the Guyana Volleyball Federation and the National Sports Commission has organised a Teachers’ Volleyball Clinic for CSEC Physical Education Teachers.
The Clinic will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from September 1-5, 2009 from 09:00 hours to 15:00 hours each day. FIVB (International Body for Volleyball) Instructor Dr. Eduardo Bellmann of Argentina will be the course facilitator. The Clinic will include classroom sessions, practical sessions and demonstrations by young volleyball players.
The Clinic targets Physical Education Teachers from Education Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and Georgetown. In addition, the Guyana Volleyball Federation has secured persons who will assist the implementation of School level programmes from other areas including, Region 9.
This is the second practical Clinic/Workshop organised by the Unit of Allied Arts in the area of Physical Education and Sport this year. A Table Tennis Workshop was organised by the Unit of Allied Arts in collaboration with the National Sports Commission and the Guyana Table Tennis Federation from July 7-11, 2009 and targeted the same pool of
Physical Education Teachers.
