The High Commission of Canada yesterday said that as of September 1, only machine readable passports will be accepted for visa applications.
As of that date, persons desirous of applying for a visa must obtain a machine readable passport issued by the Republic of Guyana before submitting their visa application.
Information on applying for a new Guyanese passport can be found online at http://www.gina.gov.gy/gov’t%20services/howtoobtainpassport.html.
The website www.trinidadandtobago.gc.ca has further information on Canadian Visa requirements as well as for application forms which are available to be downloaded.
