“This is the first of three Jamzone mega concerts and we want to make it an annual affair so we are encouraging the public from every corner of Guyana to come out and unite with sweet chutney music,” said Hits and Jams Director Kerwin Bollers.
He said that his group is optimistic that Guyanese will come in their tens of thousands.
For the Chutney invasion The Karma Band is promising a mind-blowing performance.
The group from the Twin Island Republic said tonight fans can expect old and new hits and noted “the band constantly churns out new stuff because of the high demand for them across the Caribbean and North America.”
“Despite your ethnic origins come out to the national stadium. This is a Guyanese thing for all to enjoy,” band officials said. They further added that Guyanese should not miss the opportunity to witness this spectacular performance, which includes genres of music such as chutney, soca, hip-hop, reggae, urban, pop, and Bollywood all presented in a true Caribbean style.
The band has performed in Guyana, and the best experience they recall was at the stadium where Guyanese were really appreciative of the performance the group says “we expect that they would be eagerly awaiting our return “to mash up the place.” Reports from promoters H&J is that only limited tickets remain as the demand was at its maximum.
