Buxton United and BK International Western Tigers will battle for the final quarter-final spot when the 2nd Annual Courts Pee Wee Under-11 competition continues at the Banks DIH ground, Thirst Park at 16:00hrs.
Buxton will need to win this afternoon’s game while a draw will be enough for the Tigers to advance to the knock-out stage.
In the penultimate group matches yesterday at the same venue, Camptown brushed aside the Tigers 2-0 with Pele and Buxton playing to a 0-0 stalemate.
Camptown, led by goals from Ishmael Rogers in the 4th minute and Sherwin Arthur in the 8th took care of Western Tigers who were never allowed to roar, the Campbellville boys controlling the game from start to end.
With the action heating up, defending champions Fruta Conquerors will be aiming to defend their title successfully when the knock out stage commences. Along with Conquerors, the other teams advancing are Camptown, Renaissance, Santos, Uprising, Thomas United and Marian Academy.
