Annandale edged Brusche Dam on penalty kicks 4-2 after the pair played out a 0-0 stalemate at the end of regulation time at the Vigilance ground in the lone match played on Sunday last in the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport Buxton Inter-Block football tournament.
Annandale join Vigilance as the two teams with perfect records to date and will hope to maintain their standing.
However, two teams with other ideas will collide on Saturday in a repeat of last year’s final. Defending champs Buxton Middle Walk will battle Friendship Front in the lone contest.
Middle Walk will look to Quame ‘Limer’ McPherson and Eon ‘Joe Boy’ Garnett to lead their charge, while Friendship will have Eric Phil, Seon Thomas and Rudolph Thomas to spearhead their challenge.
Sunday, newcomers the Veterans will challenge Red Street in what promises to be a keenly contested affair. Skipper Brian Chester along with Derrick Thomas and Denroy Peters will lead the attack for the Veterans, while Red Street will depend on the skills of Derwin Thomas, Devon Owel and Oliver Henry to rebuff the newcomers.
