Dear Editor,
The blocking of one of the main streets in Enterprise, on the East Coast Demerara appears to be permanent.
Permit me to ask the question: why do vehicles and pedestrians have to suffer at the hands of one businessman, who seems to have no consideration for the residents in the area.
This businessman operates a ransom for commercial block making and residents are forced to have to endure this noise from the ransom, beginning from 6:00 a.m. everyday. Our area used to be a quiet, peaceful one.
We are not living in an industrial site. Many questions are unanswered as to where/who this businessman got permission from to convert our peaceful residential village into an industrial site.
We are most dissatisfied with the current Buxton–Foulis NDC, since they are aware of these two issues, (1) Blocking of the roads and drains and (2) The noise nuisance.
The NDC has done absolutely nothing to ease the plight of tax paying residents. We are very much dissatisfied with the don’t-care attitudes of the Buxton–Foulis NDC and the inconsiderate businessman.
