The Hindu society has announced the eight divine manifestation of the Lord Vishnu. It falls on the eight tithi of the second fortnight of Bhadrapada (August-September). This is the Puma (full) avatar of Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the greatest Hindu Festivals.
According to a press statement from the Hindu society, Krishna made his appearance at midnight. Hindus would fast for 24 hours which is broken at midnight.
Full-scale preparation gets into gear to celebrate this blessed occasion.
According to Hindu astrology, this divine game sport took place when the moon entered Brishabha Raashi at the constellation of Rohini on Wednesday.
Based on Swami Sivanand’s research, this manifestation took place approximately 5236 years ago.
It was noted in the statement that Lord Krishna came at a critical time in human history when Dharma was very much on the decline and loneliness and unrighteousness were taking grip of every nook and corner.
It was explained that Lord Krishna is the ocean of bliss. His soul-stirring lilas, which are the wonder of wonders, are its waves and according to the press statement, “Devotion is the only means of attaining Lord Krishna. Bhakti kindles love for the Lord. When love is directed towards Lord Krishna, man is freed from the bondages of this world. Lord Krishna is birth – less hence deathless. This secret is known only to his devotees.”
The incarnation comes to reveal the divine nature of man and makes him rise above the petty materialistic life of passion and egoism.
